Hi there,
This week, we’re diving into Uniqlo - the Japanese basics-brand that went from one store in Hiroshima, to a global wardrobe staple. Founded in 1984 as “Unique Clothing Warehouse” (building on a textile business from 1949), Uniqlo grew by focusing on high-quality, affordable essentials.
Today, under its parent company Fast Retailing, it runs 2,500+ stores worldwide, with FY2025 revenues around ¥3.4 trillion (A$40 billion) and international sales and presence still growing fast.
